If your vessel trades primarily outside of US waters... in International Maritime Organization (IMO)-regulated waters, we offer the CompactClean OptIMO system for ballast water management. The CompactClean OptIMO system is designed to utilize the fact, that the IMO regulations uses MPN test method for approvals, which is more suitable for UV systems. Thus, the CompactClean OptIMO BWMS uses an optimized and energy saving UV reactor to treat the ballast water, based on the same proven and high-quality technology as the well known DESMI CompactClean BWMS. This saves ship owners money on purchase and running costs.
Model CompactClean Bulker - Ballast Water Management System
The CompactClean Bulker Ballast Water Management System saves money for owners and operators of bulk carriers. The CompactClean Bulker BWMS offers bulk carrier ship owners a ballast water management system at the same proven, high DESMI CompactClean quality, but at a lower cost. Typically, it takes a bulk carrier longer to unload its cargo than to load it. Thus, it de-ballasts at an increased flowrate. Since the mechanical filter is only needed during the ballast operation, the CompactClean Bulker uses a smaller filter. This reduces both purchase and operating costs.

With DESMI OptiSave it is simple - save 80,000 USD by having an intelligent control of your cooling water system. The cooling water system on-board vessels is designed for operation in 32°C seawater and 100% engine load and the auxiliary equipment runs as if this condition is permanent. However, the seawater temperatures of the oceans are not 32°C all over the world. Actually, there are only few hotspots where these conditions are present. This means that the cooling system in 95% of operation time are absorbing too much energy.

Deepwell Cargo Pumps for LPG, LEG, Chemical and CO2 Tankers. The NDW pumps from DESMI are energy efficient and well proven for pumping every media from LPG, to LEG over a wide range of chemicals, through to CO2. The pump consists of three main components: base arrangement, pipe and pump cylinder. The cylinder is designed with a variable number of impellers and casings to meet the required head and capacity. The pipe stack consists of a number of intermediate pipes in which the cargo is transported to the outlet flange of the base arrangement. The intermediate shaft, which drives the impellers, is placed in the centre of the pipe stack. The shaft is supported by guide bearings for each 1.2 metres, which is also the length of the intermediate pipes in the pipe stack. The bearings are made of carbon and are lubricated by the cargo.
