DESMI has developed a new, very environmentally friendly Fence Boom which will suit most protection purposes with regard to Oil Spill Response in a large number of protected water areas. The boom is known as “A-BOOM”.

The DESMI GIANT OCTOPUS skimmer from DESMI Ro-Clean is the latest skimmer in our range and features a revolutionary new collection method plus 360 degree access to the collection surfaces. This skimmer is a combination and development from our popular TARANTULA and HELIX skimmers and has benefited from a continuing development program over nearly 25 years. The resulting skimmer is our most powerful to date. It features a unique collection system of 15 belt/brushes in 3 modules of 5. These allow the skimmer a 360 degree oil recovery range and the maximum possible collection surface area.

Pump capacity: 100 to 125 m³/h / 440 to 550 US gpm. Discharge pressure: 10 bar / 145 psi max.. Dimensions: 545 x 365 x 735 mm / 21.5` x 14.5` x 29`. Minimum manhole diameter: 600 mm / 24`. The lightweight and powerful DOP-200 DUAL offers the pumping performance of the vertical screw design and incorporates new features to improve versatility and ease of maintenance. The pump can be configured for use in Skimmer Mode with a side (horizontal) discharge. This provides an unobstructed flow into the pump inlet. In Transfer Pump Mode, the discharge can be on the side or end (inline) for maximum operational flexibility.

RO-MAR fenders and buoys are the result of years of develpoment and research in co-operation with major marine and offshore operators. The pneumatic RO-MAR fenders and buoys are ideal for on-board storage. The RO-MAR can be used as a temporary buoy, fender or lift/support unit. The RO-MAR pneumatic fender is especially handy for large yachts where standard boat fenders are just not up to the job!

RO-BOOM is available in a wide variety of sizes to suit all operating conditions - from the largest 3.5 meter (RO-BOOM 3500) model, down to inshore models with 0.6 meters overall. Each of them share the advanced materials and construction techniques perfected over 25 years.

The HELIX represents a significant advancement in skimmer technology. This circular brush skimmer is the result of several years of research and development.

The design of the Polar Bear Ice skimmer has benefited from a continuing development program over nearly 3 years. The resulting system is a very versatile, reliable, powerful and seaworthy oil skimming system that can be used in ice-infested waters. The Polar Bear is a powerful offshore ice skimmer which because of its compact hexagonal design ensures optimal contact with the surface surrounding the skimmer.

The TARANTULA incorporates two DOP-250 pumps which deliver a maximum capacity of 250 m³/h and can develop discharge pressures up to 10 bar while maintaining nearly maximum flow. It is capable of recovering a wide range of oils even with high viscosities. Each pump is fitted with a cutting knife that will handle many types of trash found in oil spills.
