Foremost Machine Builders, Inc. products
Heavy Duty Granulators
Foremost - Model HD-2 and HD-2H - Heavy Duty Grinders
The Foremost Models HD-2 and HD-2H heavy duty scrap grinders are designed specifically for beside-the-press operation. These machines are constructed of heavy gauge steel throughout, with the cutting chamber a rigid one piece weldment.
Foremost - Model HD-8 - Heavy Duty Granulators
The HD-8 scrap grinders are specifically designed and built to granulate either large parts or high volumes of scrap material. With its large throat size of 24` x 36`, offset cutting chamber and rugged construction, large molded parts can be readily granulated without the need for pre-cutting.
Blenders
Foremost - Model MB-150/400 - Mini-Blenders System
The Foremost Mini-Blender is a compact blending unit designed to blend virgin regrind and up to two color (or additive) materials to the processing machine at a fixed concentrate. The standard unit mounts directly to the machine hopper and is ideally suited for use with conventional blow molding, injection molding and extrusion equipment.
Foremost - Model CLWB - Gravimetric Blenders
For over sixty years, Foremost has been supplying gravimetric blenders designed to meet the needs of the plastics industry. Looking for gravimetric blenders that blend by weight rather than by volume?. In 1984 Foremost patented the first Multi-Component Gravimetric Blender which controlled the blending process by weight rather than by volume. Continuous Loss in Weight Blenders (CLWB), functioning in a target rate mode, have been used in film and sheet extrusion for over 30 years. This configuration of gravimetric blender is arguably the most prominent in film and sheet production and probably for all extrusion processes combined.
Blowers/Cyclones
Foremost - Direct Drive Impellers and Blowers
Foremost has a complete line of direct drive impellers and blowers that are designed to provide rapid, automatic unloading of all plastic raw materials in pellet or granular (regrind) form. The direct drive designs operate at lower RPM’s than belt drive units, resulting in considerably lower sound levels. Yet conveying rates are equal to, or better than, comparably horse powered belt drive machines. The simplified design requires much less routine maintenance and, with fewer components, assures trouble-free operation and long life.
Pneumatic Conveyors
Foremost - Central Vacuum Systems
You can count on Foremost for a complete range of chemical processing equipment for making calcium carbonate and titanium dioxide. Together, our plant design team and proprietary CAD tools let us create a chemical processing solution that is cost effective, productive, and reliable.
Discharging Stations
Oktomat - Model Classic Plus - Big Bag Unloaders
OKTOMAT® CLASSIC PLUS are Big Bag Unloaders for emptying super Sacks, gayloard boxes and all bags with plastic liners. It can do all this without the assistance of an operator and is maintenance free. The bags or containers don’t need to be lifted into place, tilted or turned around. The container is typically moved to the OKTOMAT® CLASSIC PLUS station using a pallet truck and then fastened to the empyting station. The conveying of material can be started automatically and without any down time in the conveying process. The bags will be completely emptied without leaving any residual materials in the bag.
Metal Detectors & Separators
Foremost - Bulk Goods Metal Detectors
Container Unloaders
MiSlide - Horizontal Container Loaders
The MiSlide is ideal for: Loading either 40ft or 20ft containers to maximum capacity. Loading a range of materials, including: light gauge and HMS steel, non-ferrous materials, baled plastics, rubbish and waste, recycled paper, woods and logs, palletized goods, and more.
Barrel Mixers
Foremost - Inclined Barrel Mixers
Foremost barrel mixers offer economical low intensity mixing designed to achieve homogeneity quickly. Ideal for a variety of material handling duties, these barrel mixers can reach homogeneity within 15 to 60 seconds depending on the materials being mixed. Using a counter-current flow pattern, the mixer agitator pushes the material uphill against gravity. Gravity pulls the material in the opposite direction towards the bottom outlet. Material is also simultaneously folded over itself by the agitator. Low-point bottom discharge insures complete clean-out either through a dump valve or by vacuum.
