Stormwater Management
D-Raintank - Model 3000 - Rainwater Ecologically Sustainable System
The D-Raintank 3000® is a system for dealing with rainwater in an ecologically sustainable way. Once professionally installed, it stores precipitation water and gradually disperses it to the surrounding soil in a three-dimensional pattern. The grey elements of the D-Raintank 3000® system are made of PVC-U and have the following dimensions (L x W x H): 600 x 600 x 600 mm. Excellent loading bearing capacity is ensured by a structurally optimised design and by the deployment of a highly resilient PVC-U material that has a modulus of elasticity greater than 3000 N/mm². The elements are supplied to the construction site ready for installation. Each element consists of a mesh plate with four load-dissipating columns. This design ensures an excellent transfer of force to the surrounding soil.
D-Raintank - Model 3000 smallbox - Rain Tank
For a space-saving and flat installation, Funke Kunststoffe has supplemented the D-Raintank 3000® system with a half size D-Raintank 3000 smallbox®. The structural properties of the new element correspond to those of the standard version: The high load capacity is ensured by the statically optimized construction and by the use of the resistant plastic PVC-U with an E-module greater than 3000 N/mm². The D-Raintank 3000 smallbox® elements are delivered to the construction site ready for use. They consist of a mesh plate with four load-dissipating columns. This design ensures an excellent transfer of force to the surrounding soil. In addition to a high storage capacity, the system offers convincing advantages in application. For example, due to the low construction height, the minimum distance of 1 m required by DWA-A 138 can be maintained, e.g. in case of high groundwater levels.
Pipe System
HS - Model 12 kN/m² - Underground Drainage Pipe System
The HS®-Underground Drainage Pipes System provides the user with a complete system which has excellent technical properties and is available from DN/OD 110 to DN/OD 800. Its main properties are high strength, high safety factor and easy installation. The diameters DN/OD 110 - 160 are designed for use in lateral pipelines and lateral connection areas. The diameters DN/OD 200 - 800 are perfectly suitable for housing developments and the drainage of rainwater and wastewater. Pipes in the diameters of DN/OD 110 - 315 are manufacturered as plain-ended pipes with chamfered spigots. Due to the special design of the fittings a smooth and level-invert channel is achieved. Pipes with a nominal diameter of DN/OD 400 and 500 are single socketed and come with a firmly inserted FE®-Seal, pipes in the nominal diameters of DN/OD 630 up to 800 are single socketed and come with a fixed integrated CI®-Seal.
Connex - Model DN/OD 315 - 800 - Underground Drainage Pipe System
The CONNEX Sewer Pipe System DN/OD 315 – 800 (SDR 34, SN 8) comes with a complete range of fittings offering clients and civil engineering companies a real alternative to traditional materials in the sewer sector. With installation depths of 0.8 to 6.0 m and the installation pursuant to EN 1610, traffic loads of up to SLW 60 (HA20) are possible. The CONNEX Sewer Pipes are equipped with the permanently integrated 2 component CI® sealing system. The CI® sealing is firmly integrated into the pipe socket; it cannot be dislodged and therefore it cannot be forgotten or pressed out when joining pipes together. Even with an angled connection of up to 3° the push fit connection is permanently tight.
Sewer Connections
Connex - Cast-Iron Pipe Junction System
The CONNEX Cast-Iron Pipe Junction System is suitable for binding sewer connection pipes into main sewer pipes made of cast iron, which are usually provided with a cement mortar lining for reasons of corrosion protection. When tapping lined cast iron pipes, the rather brittle cement mortar lining tends to spall at the drill edges. With the CONNEX Cast-Iron Pipe Junction System, the connection technology of the proven CONNEX-Junction and a newly developed lower seal, as well as the use of the 2-C sealant compound, make it possible to produce a tight sewer connection despite possible minor spalling of the mortar when drilling into the main sewer pipe.
Model DN/OD 160 - Becon Junction
With the Becon Junction, lateral pipes or side inlets can be quickly, easily and economically integrated into concrete and reinforced concrete pipes with circular and based cross sections according to DIN EN 1916:2003-04 - for new installation as well as for retrofitting.
Model DN/OD 160 and 200 - Creating Tension-Free Sewer Connections
The FABEKUN® Junction with DN/OD 160 or DN/OD 200 adjustable socket is suitable for the connection of lateral pipes to concrete or reinforced concrete pipes (EN 1916) – starting from a wall thickness of 30 mm – and also for clay pipes. Thanks to its three dimensional seals it adapts ideally to the inner radius of the sewer pipe. The adjustable socket allows for the connection to swivel within a range from 0° to 13° and compensates the different settlement behaviour of the main sewer pipe and the lateral pipe. Thus, the requirements of many national standards such as DWA-A 139 (Germany) are fulfilled. The FABEKUN® Junction is available with a nominal diameter of DN/OD 160 for pipes from DN 250 up to DN 1800 (bore hole 200 mm ± 1 mm) respectively with a nominal diameter of DN/OD 200 for pipes from DN 400 up to DN 2400 (bore hole 257 mm ± 1 mm). Connections for greater wall thicknesses are also available.
Flexible Couplings
Model DN 200 to DN 1000 - VPC Delta-Ring
Connecting different pipe materials with different nominal diameters is an everyday task in pipe trenches. For example, when a hydraulically oversized main sewer needs to be reduced in size or an undersized main sewer needs to be enlarged. The standard reducer fittings available on the market are generally only suitable for reducing by one nominal size. However, steps of two or more nominal sizes often need to be managed when extending or renewing a main sewer. The VPC® Delta-Ring provides a remedy. With the help of the VPC® Delta-Ring, gravity sewer pipes of different types and different nominal diameters can be joined together without misalignment in accordance with the specifications of EN 476 (General requirements for components for wastewater pipes and sewers; EN 476). The way it works is very simple.
Model 100 - 1070 - VPC-Pipe Coupling
The new Funke VPC®-Pipe Coupling allows pipes of the same nominal diameters made of different materials to be connected to one another safely, reliably, and with the best possible results – despite having different outer diameters incurred by the design type! The Funke VPC®-Pipe Coupling consists of a reducible sealing sleeve made of elastomer rubber, a centrically reducible securing cage made of plastic, and two stainless-steel bands for applying force to achieve a uniform circumferential adjustment.
