The General Air Pollution Control Barrels are ready to use, low cost, self-contained air purification adsorbers designed to treat airflow streams of up to 250 CFM. The units are available in four different sizes to better serve your treatment applications.

The General R-55 adsorber is a ready to use, low cost, self-contained air purification unit. It is constructed from epoxy-coated mild steel with PVC internals for corrosion resistance. Four inch (4″) inlet/outlet connections and a radial flow air distribution pattern allow it to treat airflows of up to 500 CFM.

General Carbon Corporation has added a fan to their user friendly Air Pollution Control Barrels to provide a quick and easy solution for simple VOC and odor control applications. The high volume aluminum fan mounted on the top of the General provides efficient control of minor point source pollution problems.

General Carbon’s TB-Series Adsorbers are engineered for high airflows using large amounts of carbon. These adsorbers are fabricated from mild steel and come in four sizes. Each vessel is coated inside and out with 2-part epoxy paint. A three foot bed depth gives good contact time and a large amount of carbon for a long service period. The TB-Series are designed for temporary or permanent placement where the carbon is changed out onsite. Large access panels provide easy entry for service. Options include connections for sampling, drains, instrumentation, fan and ductwork packages. These units are available for lease or purchase. Complete design, mobilization/demobilization, spent carbon change out and reactivated services are available.

The Transportable Vapor Phase adsorbers are fabricated from mild steel and are tested to DOT shipping standards. All units have two part epoxy coatings on the inside and industrial enamel on the outside to give a long service life. Inlet/outlet fittings are connected to PVC internals for corrosion resistance. The units have 4-way forklift access, a screened drain and 16-inch top manhole. GC C-40 pelletized virgin, bituminous coal base, carbon is standard. Other virgin coal, coconut shell, reactivated or impregnated carbons are available. Note: Compare inlet/outlet sizes to your flow rate and system duct sizes to make sure your fan has enough static pressure available to produce the design flow rate.

General Carbon H-Series odor control vessels are specifically designed for controlling vapor phase H2S (hydrogen sulfide) odors at lift stations. These up-flow vessels contain a specially formulated non-impregnated H2S specific media that effectively removes H2S as well as other organic mercaptan odors. Our H2S specific media has an H2S removal capacity 4 to 5 times greater than the virgin carbon media many other manufacturers utilize. Our H2S specific media provides substantial operating cost savings compared to standard virgin carbon. The odor control vessels are constructed of UV and corrosion resistance cross-linked high density polyethylene. A raised plenum air distribution system is utilized and provides even air distribution through the media with low head loss.

General Carbon’s ES-Series provides a simple, cost effective solution for odor control problems and air treatment. The adsorber is constructed of HDPE for corrosion, weather resistance and durability. All fittings are welded to the tank and vessels up to 50 inches have removable tops for easy service. Larger vessels have a 20 inch man way for access.

General Carbon’s ET – Odor Control Systems offer a complete activated carbon solution to your low flow odor problems and air treatment applications. The vessel is constructed of polyethylene for corrosion and weather resistance as well as durability. All tank connections are welded to the tank and the top is removable for easy carbon servicing. The industrial quality fan is mounted on the top cover of the adsorber and pulls the air through the media bed. This configuration ensures that only “clean” air will contact the fan. Motors for your electrical requirements are available.

General Carbon’s Roll-Off Adsorber is engineered for high airflow (up to 12,500 cfm) applications where a large carbon bed is required. Holding up to 13,000 lbs. of quality activated carbon, it is internally coated with two-part epoxy paint. Our Roll-Off Adsorber is designed for easy transportation and maintenance. A clean-out door and three manways are provided for convenient carbon bed access. These units are available for lease or purchase. Complete spent carbon change out and reactivation services are also available.

General Carbon FS/FD Systems provide a simple, cost effective solution for large odor control problems and air treatment applications. The adsorber vessel is made from fiberglass reinforced plastic for corrosion and weather resistance as well as strength and durability. All connections are laminated onto the tank during the hand lay-up process. Large manholes allow the carbon to be serviced without confined space tank entry. Internal screen, FRP grate and structural support beams are field replaceable.
