This course is destined to those who want to specialize in GIS programming languages and become a professional developer. The training material is focused on: programming languages like JavaScript, a very powerful tool for developing cartographic viewers, developing new tools through ArcObjects and learn coding with one of the most used programming language by all GIS communities, Python.

The course is focused on the initiation of students in the use of Python programming language along with ArcGIS Desktop collection software on: process and tasks automation, vector and raster analysis, map generation and publication, geoprocessing model creation, etc. The purpose of this course is to transmit to the student information about creating and editing spatial data using Python programming language, a command line software application which can be directly applied when creating complex stand-alone Python scripts or Python script tools. Use Python to power up your GIS needs, automate your workflows and take advantages of all ArcGIS platform capabilities.

The course will train students in the advanced use of Python programming language along with ArcGIS Desktop collection software on: process and tasks automation, vector and raster analysis, map generation and publication, geoprocessing model creation, etc. The student will be trained in the advanced use of Python programming language, will learn how to create Add-ins or how to build custom UI tools for ArcGIS (ArcMap). Advanced vector and raster analysis using Python will also be included in the training process.

You will learn how to develop web mapping applications using ArcGIS Server API 3.x for JavaScript. Students will learn to insert spatial data in their own Web applications through ArcGIS Server map services. Learn the fundamentals of JavaScript, the most widely used web-based programming language, learn App design and development for iOS products (iPhone and iPad), integrate through advance programming techniques, online web mapping resources like Google Maps or Bing Maps.

You will learn how to develop web mapping applications using the new ArcGIS Server API 4.x for JavaScript. Students will be informed about the new released API version, 4.x and about all the new added features and capabilities. Learn the fundamentals of JavaScript, the most widely used web-based programming language, mainly about the developing of 3D cartographic viewers.
