Railways and roads area develops its work for public and private clients both nationally and abroad. Its principal activity centers on projects for high-speed trains, subway and its integration into the urban centers. It is also dedicated to road design projects, construction and tender. Recently expanded its activities to countries in the Middle East and South America where the development in this type of infrastructure increases the complexity and contracts.

This area works mainly large infrastructures (tunnels, underground works and large structures). They have developed highly complex works for public and private clients (national and international). Their main works are viaducts for high-speed trains, subway tunnels (Barcelona, Madrid) and special structures with high seismic activity.

The Ports & Coasts Area develops its activity in three main sectors, namely ports, marine and coasts, working in diverse engineering and consultancy projects such as port planning and management, marine studies, and detailed design & works supervision. Regarding marine environment, this Area works on physical and operational oceanography and marine environment, its natural resources, marine environmental studies and environmental supervision of works, as well as in Integrated Coastal Zones Management (ICZM) projects. Intecsa-Inarsa offers a wide range of services comprising pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, basic and detailed engineering, works direction and supervision, integrated project management, as well as other specific consultancy and engineering works.

With a large tradition in hydraulic engineering and hydrological planning, the Water and Environment Area counts on the experience of high quality professionals covering all project stages (planning, project and works) of the integrated water cycle in the framework of sustainability and environment: management and control of water –hydrological planning, aquifers’ studies, river engineering–, water storage –basic & detailed engineering, dam security and management, ponds and tanks–, transport, distribution and use –water supply systems, sewerage, irrigation, catchments, piping, canals, drainages, and pumping stations–, and water quality –water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, desalination plants.

INTECSA-INARSA´s building and urban planning specialists provide services related with the the main studies developed by other departments (infrastrutures, industrial, water and environment) and also for specific clients in urban planning, architecture and Integrated Project Management. They also work in technical engineering fields, from geotechnical to structural design, mechanical, electrical, security, etc. and organization, management and control of projects. The team capacities comprise technical and management support and ensure the achievement of all quality goals, cost and time of completion.
