Hydrochloric Acid (9%)

Hydrochloric acid is the main component of stomach acid and a natural pH corrector. Despite its high corrosivity, hydrochloric acid is one of the least hazardous acids and one of the most stable. Osorno produces a 9% hydrochloric acid solution. Our hydrochloric acid is ANSI 60 certified.

Chlorine Dioxide Generation Kit, 1 L

Our Chlorine Dioxide Generation Kit consists of two liquid components - Hydrochloric Acid 9% and Sodium Chlorite 7.5%. Chlorine dioxide is an advanced disinfectant for water and wastewater treatment, as well as swimming pools. Unlike chlorine, chlorine dioxide does not produce carcinogenic compounds as a by-product of disinfection. Chlorine dioxide has a long-lasting disinfection effect through residual concentration; this is something that neither ozone, nor UV can provide.

PowerOxide Disinfectant

The PowerOxide™ Chlorine Dioxide Kit consists of two components - PowerOxide™ A and PowerOxide™ B. Stir a package of PowerOxide™ A with a package of PowerOxide™ B into water, and almost instantly, you have chlorine dioxide – one of the most powerful disinfectants available. Although preparing chlorine dioxide manually is less controllable than using a chlorine dioxide generator, this method is often used when you are unable to invest in a generator or when only single batches of chlorine dioxide are needed.

Hydrogen Peroxide (12%)

Hydrogen peroxide (perhaps best known for its use as hair bleach) is a slow acting, but strong disinfectant. The oxidation potential of hydrogen peroxide even exceeds that of potassium permanganate. Hydrogen peroxide is best used to organic matter in raw water, enabling easy removal through flocculation. However, it has a very slow reaction time (up to 24 hrs).

Potassium Monopersulfate (KMPS)

Potassium monopersulfate in its stable form is a triple salt and a highly active oxidant. You can use this chemical for a wide range of applications, such as disinfecting drinking water, disinfecting wastewater lagoons prior to discharge, disinfecting swimming pools, or sanitizing water reservoirs (dugouts) for small communities. You can use KMPS with sodium or calcium hypochlorite.

Sodium Bisulfite, 1 L

Sodium bisulfite (also known as bisulfite bleach or sodium bisulfite) is a reducing disinfectant. It also reduces residual concentrations of chlorine dioxide and hydrogen peroxide and it can prevent oxidative corrosion.

DisOx™ Disinfectant

DisOx™ is a powerful multipurpose disinfectant with antimicrobial properties. The main disinfecting ingredient in DisOx™ is potassium monopersulfate (KMPS). DisOx™ is typically used for cleaning up potentially infectious spills, shock oxidation, and for disinfecting water distribution pipes, lagoons and ponds, and soaking equipment. It does not bleach or stain a large variety of surfaces, and is not UV sensitive.
