Spray Drying is the most advanced instant drying process to engineer a particle and formulate in a single step. The SDx series of Spray Dryers feature closed loop solvent processing under nitrogen. The unit is capable of spray drying/chilling/congealing samples of a few ml to batches of several liters. The PROCEPT Spray Dryer / Chiller GMP allows straight transfer from the PROCEPT R&D Spray Dryer without scale-up! The unit is built through the GMP wall or wheelable stand-alone in the GMP room.

It can be used to strengthen the tablet, improve stability, control release, taste masking it, esthetic color, … It is normally integrated on a trolley, but can wall mounted, or on a fixed table/floor stand.

The granulator vacuum dryer is used to create wet agglomerates by high shear wet mixing of different powders. The atomizing nozzle sprays the solvent with binder or active on the powder vortex, created by the impeller and chopper. The PROCEPT  Mi-Pro granulator vacuum dryer combines high shear wet/melt granulation and vacuum drying in a single pot process.

The PROCEPT  Twin Screw Extruder is designed to be used as an extruder or continuous granulator for small scale feasibility studies to small GMP production runs. The PROCEPT  Twin Screw Granulator/Extruder has two co-rotating screws driven by a high torque servo motor, offering several processes capabilities; Hot Melt extrusion, Wet/Melt granulation and Wet Extrusion.
