PureAir - Adsorbent Media

Our chemisorbant media targets the removal of gases, vapors, and odors in industrial, municipal, and commercial industries. After determining which gas is causing the problem, choose from a variety of media to determine the best solution. The main gases our chemical adsorbent media target are:

PureAir - Sulphasorb 2™ Adsorbent Media

PureAir Sulphasorb 2™ targets acidic gases, specifically hydrogen sulfide. This product has the same capacity by volume (0.15 g/cc) as the original Sulphasorb™, but it has the upgraded benefit of fire resistance. PureAir starts with the highest grade of activated carbon and activated alumina. The carbon and alumina are then impregnated with a caustic compound and a proprietary reagent to neutralize acidic gases. This product is designed to perform exceptionally well in both PureAir and other manufacturers’ systems.

PureAir - Carbsorb Adsorbent Media

PureAir Carbsorb targets gases, specifically hydrogen sulfide. PureAir starts with the highest grade activated carbon and activated alumina ensuring the greatest possible adsorption capacity is reached. The carbon and alumina are impregnated with a proprietary caustic compound to neutralize acid gases. This product is designed to perform exceptionally well in both PureAir and other manufacturers' systems.

PureAir - Microbe-sorb Adsorbent Media

PureAir promotes a safe environment by inactivating pathogens with its newest media, Microbe-sorb. PureAir Microbe-sorb also targets gaseous contaminants from industrial and commercial facilities. These added antimicrobial properties keep environments safe from viruses and bacteria. This product has our highest concentration of permanganate, along with a proprietary mixture of substances that deactivate over 99% of the H1N1 and other target viruses and bacteria.

PureAir - Sulphasorb Si™ Biomedium

The BEAST™ Bioscrubber uses our Sulphasorb Si™ (SSi) media as its substrate. Unlike other substrates, SSi is easy to install, resistant to high acidity levels, extremely porous, and has a life of at least 10 years. Additionally, it is environmentally friendly because it is made of recycled glass. The incredible porosity, 4,695 m2/m3, allows for a large amount of surface area for the odor-eating bacteria to prosper.

PureAir - Odasorb Adsorbent Media

Odasorb was developed to tackle problems created in pet environments and geriatric or pediatric environments. These particular odors are actually a range of molecules (ammonia, amines, fatty acids, indoles, skatoles, etc.) that are especially undesirable to the human nose even at very low levels. Activated carbon does not perform well against these odors, so PureAir developed Odasorb to serve the market for this very specific need.

PureAir - NOXsorb Adsorbent Media

NOXsorb was developed to serve the growing worldwide concern about the health risks associated with NOX gases. This family of gases includes Nitrogen Oxide (NO), Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2), and Nitrogen Trioxide (NO3). Some technologies can remove one member of the NOX family but this only provides a minor overall improvement. NOXsorb is the only product available on the market that makes significant improvements in all NOX levels and has a high capacity for these pollutants, which results in longer product life. NOXsorb has been proven to reduce NOX by 99% with very low contact time.

Antimicrobial Solutions

Microbe-sorb - Antimicrobial Air Filtration Media

PureAir Filtration is happy to announce the launch of our newest media, Microbe-sorb! Microbe-sorb is comprised of our highest concentration of permanganate, plus a proprietary formula which activates and enhances its antimicrobial properties. PureAir’s adsorbent media has been trusted for years by customers to remove gaseous contaminants from industrial and commercial facilities, and now, our newest media has been developed to keep environments safe from viruses and bacteria. Like many of our other products, Microbe-sorb is also fire resistant.

Equipment

PureAir - Drum Scrubber (DS)

PureAir Filtration’s Drum Scrubber (DS) is a vent control system that is completely self contained. This system provides a reasonably inexpensive air purification system for small flow odor air streams ranging in volume without prefiltering or mist/grease elimination, 50 to 1000 CFM. The PureAir DS systems maybe connected to an exhaust vent and used for passive odor control or environmental emission applications. The most common applications are process vessels, storage tanks, sewage life stations, and package sewage treatment plants. Drum scrubbers do not include prefilters, final filters, or mist/grease eliminators. Larger systems will include a blower to ensure active purging of contaminants.

PureAir - Vertical Bed System (VBS)

PureAir Filtration’s Vertical Bed System (VBS) system is a complete self contained, vertical airflow unit. This deep bed system provides continuous high efficiency air purification for contaminated air streams ranging in volume from 150 to 8,000 CFM. Because the system has a vertical airflow, the potential for air bypass is completely eliminated. The PureAir VBS systems come in either blow-through or draw-through configurations.
