PycnoPlast - Poly Butylene Adipate Terephthalate (PBAT)

PBAT (PolyButylene Adipate Terephthalate) is a random co-polyester type of polymer. Due to its typical random block structure PBAT does not crystallize and gives similar properties to LDPE, especially its high flexibility and resilience. Pycnoplast has extensive knowlegde how to tune the properties of PBAT for many applications, like textiles, foils, packaging and foams. Also PBAT prevents microplastic issues. In the case small particles of PBAT end up in environments where micro-organisms are present, these disappear rather quickly.

PycnoPlast - Poly Butylene Succinate (PBS)

PBS (PolyButylene Succinate) is a thermoplastic polymer resin of the polyester family. PBS is a biodegradable aliphatic polyester that looks in its properties most like polypropylene. Pycnoplast offers a PBS made by Tunhe, with almost 50% biosourced raw materials, i.e. succinic acid that is made using beans from the Ricinus plant.

PycnoPlast - Anti-Fogging Masterbatch

Fields of application: Extruded films and sheets from LDPE or LLDPE. Examples: Food wrap films. Mode of action: PYCNO 488 contains a very effective antifogging additive.  The antifog additive reduces formation of water droplets on plastic surfaces and as a result improves the transparency of the film or sheet.

PycnoPlast - Odour Reduction Masterbatch

Fields of application Odour reduction masterbatch for recycled PP and recycled PE containing high content of Post-Consumer Recycled raw materials for various applications. Mode of action Pycno 917 contains a blend of chemicals which neutralize and reduce the odour caused by components such as hydrogen sulphide, amines and ammonia. PYCNO 917 is based on PP carrier and therefore limited suitable for PE: maximum dosing is 2% and MFI of PE should be lower than 20. Not Food Approved

PycnoPlast - Dessication Masterbatch

Fields of application Highly concentrated desiccant masterbatch for LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE, EVA and other ethylene copolymers. Examples Elimination of moisture from (recycled) polymers in moisture sensitive applications. Mode of action PYCNO 485 is a ready-for-use highly concentrated desiccant masterbatch. It contains additives that chemically bind moisture. PYCNO 485 has been designed for use with recycling materials as well as for applications sensitive to the effects of moisture.
