Smet Jet NV specialises in the area of industrial cleaning using high-pressure technologies, vacuum technologies (for liquids and solids) and tank cleaning (cleaning, removing or topping up fuel and storage tanks).

Some contaminants are difficult to remove using high pressure. Rust, limescale and some product residue can be better removed by dissolving them using a chemical product. This technique is called chemical cleaning. Smet Jet NV has many years of experience in cleaning using chemicals (and also in surface treatment) of industrial contaminated systems and installations.

Atox is a part of Smet Jet and has all the know-how for dewatering liquid sludge flows. The dewatering of sludge is an important step in the process of water purification and reducing waste streams. We have our own laboratory for the analysis of sludge samples to determine the dewatering properties of the sludge. We have the following mobile dewatering systems: chamber filter presses, membrane filter presses and decanters, but also a dredging fleet that we can use to pump up sludge up to a depth of 4 metres.

The focus at Smet Jet NV is on industrial and chemical cleaning and sludge dewatering. Smet Jet NV`s own R&D department has developed innumerable applications for all these disciplines. This ensures we can offer customers an efficient and highly technical service often with machines we have designed ourselves. Smet Jet has sites in Belgium, South Africa and the Middle East and executes contracts for customers globally (including in Korea, India, Mexico, the USA, etc.).
