Chemical Cleaning Services
Some contaminants are difficult to remove using high pressure. Rust, limescale and some product residue can be better removed by dissolving them using a chemical product. This technique is called chemical cleaning. Smet Jet NV has many years of experience in cleaning using chemicals (and also in surface treatment) of industrial contaminated systems and installations.
First, we determine the most suitable chemical product and concentration for the cleaning during a test phase. This product will be pumped through the system or installation to be cleaned through a closed circuit until the contaminant has been fully removed. Next, the system or installation will be flushed so that all chemical residue is removed. This technique is also applied before new systems and installations are commissioned to remove protective coatings. Smet Jet NV has performed chemical cleaning of, for examples, boilers all over Europe.
