Educational Services
To assist our clients in maintaining their awareness of continual industry developments, TRI staff routinely provide lectures, workshops and short courses designed to focus on various aspects of geosynthetic materials, testing, specifications and field services. Professional Development Hours (PDH) are offered for most course offerings.
Erosion Control Services
TRI was the first laboratory accredited by the Geosynthetics Accreditation Institute (GAI) in the early 1990s and continues to maintain and grow an impressive range of accredited test method capabilities. TRI’s Denver Downs Research Facility is the leading independent lab for large-scale testing of Erosion Control Products (ECP) and Sediment Retention Devices (SRD). In recent years, TRI has added accreditation for a growing number of erosion control products (ECP) and sediment retention device (SRD) test procedures, as well as, AMRL/AASHTO accreditation for an increasing number of geotechnical tests.
Geosynthetics Testing Services
TRI’s geosynthetics laboratories and governing quality assurance system are accredited by the Geosynthetics Accreditation Institute (GAI). TRI is proud to be the first testing laboratory to achieve this accreditation, and is distinguished as holding the most comprehensive (161 tests) accreditation in the world. TRI has been testing and evaluating geosynthetics materials for over two decades and has earned a superior reputation as an internationally acclaimed, highest quality testing and research facility. Our staff are active on ASTM D35 and ISO TC 221 for geosynthetics testing, assuring the most up-to-date, state-of- the-art testing systems and standard operating procedures for all work. We classify tests with geosynthetics in two major groups of testing: Geosynthetic and Soil-Geosynthetic Interaction.
Geotechnical Testing Services
TRI/Environmental is a full service ARML & GAI-LAP accredited geotechnical and geosynthetic testing laboratory and validated by the US Army Corps of Engineers. TRI has one civil and three geotechnical engineers on staff who review, coordinate, and assist with our clients’ geotechnical testing programs. Our geotechnical testing projects range from tailings dams, windmill foundations, landfills, dam and embankment slope stability, to offshore projects. TRI’s unique capabilities allow us to provide a full range of geotechnical and geosynthetic testing services. Our independence ensures that our firm will not be in competition with yours for the same projects. Our engineering staff is available to assist you and your clients needs. Liner Integrity Services
TRI’s Liner Integrity Services, a division of TRI Environmental, Inc., leads the industry in the advancement and application of electrical leak location technologies to improve containment system quality world-wide. Our powerful, standards-compliant methods & equipment are unrivaled for locating leaks in installed geomembranes in a variety of conditions, including exposed and soil or water-covered. TRI’s Liner Integrity Services offers top quality ELL survey performance and project consulting.
Plastic Pipe Testing Services
TRI is very active in the pipe industry as an independent third party provider of quality assurance auditing and testing services.In addition, TRI supports both the PPI and AASHTO National Transportation Product Evaluation Program (NTPEP) testing regimens. TRI provides an ever expanding number of laboratory tests on pipe, pipe liner repair materials, gaskets, and component resins.
Recycled Plastics Services
We test various types of recycled plastic but we specialize in polyethylene. TRI personnel have developed a deep and thorough understanding of all the different types of recycled polyethylene on the market. We know the effects of different contaminants on the final properties of blended resins and can help you develop resin blends incorporating recycled materials safely.
