DJE - Pre Washers and Dewatering Machinery
Prewashers are mainly used for the removal of heavy contamination from hard and soft plastics prior to shredding or granulation. These systems are intended to work in conjunction with wash & rinse line / systems in the plastic cleaning process.

PET Pre-Washers:
Mainly used to wash contamination off the the bottle body and filter any contamination out of the bottles,this can also help to improve the flake quality, and protection for the machinery eg, shredders, granulators. Hot Washers / Friction Washers can also be incoporated into the washing system / line.
Horizontal Dewatering Machinery Options:
Mainly used for cleaning plastic materials.
The centrifugal force from high speed rotation of the master shaft will throw plastic materials and water against the screen. Water is drained from the screen and materials will be sent out through the material outlet to the next recycling procedure, ensuring effective drying with high energy-efficiency ratio. Impeller is manufactured from high wearing resistant material, designed and manufactured for domestic and the hazardous waste streams. The pre washer is controlled via a central plc control panel, incorporating a variable speed control which can be designed to suit specific product mixes and requirements.
Continuous Rotatory Wash / Intensive Washing Options :
Used for the removal of heavy contamination from hard and soft plastics prior or after shredding. These Washers, are fitted with a rotating drum incorporating a screw ensuring the contaminated plastics are fed and transferred through, the drum which is fitted with a wash and rinse spray which is a hot pressurized detergent solution being sprayed onto the contaminated plastics. The solution is then filtered and returned to the sump for reheating and reuse.
Dry Washer Options:
Dry washer are mainly used for pre-shredded plastic processing, the contaminated plastic is fed through the system by air and a high speed rotating paddle (up to 1500rpm). Contaminates such as paper, glass and grit etc… are broken down by the paddle against a screen to fibre and dust, the size reduced contaminates then drop through the changeable screen. This type of machinery is ideal for the pre-cleaning of waste plastics contaminated with inert materials such as paper, glass, grit etc..and can replace wet washing. For plastics contaminated with oils, foods and fats etc…A hot alkaline wash is recommended after this process.
