SHARE

Tramfloc 905 is a solution of calcium thiosulfate especially formulated to dechlorinate and deozonate safely and efficiently. Dechlorination or deozonation is often desirable in water treatment plants, UPW applications, wastewater treatment operations, final plants effluents, potable water, filter backwash, paper industry wastewater and other applications wrhere the presence of chlorine or ozone is unwanted or an effluent regulation violation. Tramfloc 905 is completely water soluble, water-clear, odorless, has a low freeze point, is non-corrosive, doesn`t off-gas, doesn`t crystallize, and is nonhazardous.

Uses
Tramfloc 905 is used to safely destroy chlorine and replaces: poisonous sulfur dioxide gas, dangerous sodium bisulfite, hazardous hydrogen peroxide, and difficult to handle sodium metabisulfite. Tramfloc 905 is much less costly to apply than ascorbic acid. Tramfloc 905 is dosed at one part formulation to one part of chlorine and to four parts of ozone. Tramfloc 905 is therefor very economical to apply. Tramfloc 905 is NSF Standard 60 listed and since no SO2 gas is generated, a scrubber is unnecessary. No heating or insulation is required except in very cold areas. The formulation does not crystallize and is not D. O. T. regulated.

Make-Down
It is recommended that Tramfloc 905 be fed neat by a metering device directly to the affected plant process to be treated. See dosaae chart below for feed rate calculations..
