The AlSCANTM is a reliable quantitative technique to directly monitor the dissolved hydrogen content in liquid aluminum. The LiMCA system provides granulometric and total density information on the inclusion content of aluminum melts, in real time, based on an objective and user-independent method. PoDFA, is a complete solution for inclusion measurement. It identifies the inclusions and gives their concentration in the melt for each type. Spinel and MgO inclusions on the PoDFA filter. The PoDFA technique consists of filtering, under controlled conditions, a predetermined quantity of liquid aluminum through a very fine porosity filter disc. Inclusions of the melt are concentrated at the filter surface by a factor of 10,000.
The Prefil-Footprinter measures the relative cleanliness of an aluminum melt by comparison with a benchmark inclusion level for a given alloy, a production process or a given stage in the process.
