Solinst - Model 101 -Lateral Winder

The Solinst Model 101 Lateral Winder is lightweight and easy to connect to any size Solinst reel frame.

It is designed to easily wind tape smoothly and evenly, avoiding hang-ups during deployment and retrieval.

With the rollers of the Lateral Winder installed against the reel, the manual winding of the meter engages the lateral mechanism.

The lateral motion of the mechanism allows the tape to be wound back onto the reel like new – the first time – saving you time rewinding and ensuring the tape is evenly wound.

The Lateral Winder conveniently adjusts to suit different-sized reels and other types of Water Level Meters in the market.

The Lateral Winder is ideal for use with Solinst Water Level Measurement Devices and Tag Lines for deploying other instruments, such as pumps.

Reels using the Lateral Winder can be placed on the ground, on a Solinst Field Table, or another flat surface.

When combined with a Power Winder, deployment of longer lengths of tape is effortless. The Power Winder and Lateral Winder can be easily installed on the same reel frame.

A standard drill provides power to the Power Winder, which turns the rollers in contact with the reel. The drill can be operated at various speeds, forward and reverse, to turn the reel and unwind and rewind the tape (See Model 101 Power Winder Data Sheet).
