Extinguisher and Equipment Inspections
As an independent fire safety consultant, we have no conflict of interest on any recommendations that we make. AEC provide a fire extinguisher service technician to inspect equipment and all work to BS5306 standards. Technicians can provide services for water, foam, dry powder and CO2 extinguishers. Current fire regulations under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 state that all Fire Safety equipment must be `maintained in an efficient state, in an efficient working order and in good repair.` Tackling any kind of fire with a fire extinguisher may make the difference between a small incident and a full-scale disaster. Extinguishers are essential for the safety of your staff and visitors. They can also help the preservation of property and ensure business continuity by not letting a small fire develop into a major one.
Fire Safety Signage
The Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations covers the provision of fire safety signs that are required in the workplace. They recognise the need for all workplaces to have easily recognisable signs and symbols relating to safety matters and encourage the standardisation of safety signs. These regulations apply to all places of work covered by the Health and Safety at work Act 1974. All safety signs have been required to comply with these Regulations from 1st April 1996. The Regulations require employers to provide specific safety signs whenever there is a risk that has not been avoided or controlled by other means, e.g. engineering controls and safe systems of work. AEC can provide expert advice fire signage and planning to ensure your business remains compliant and fire saftey risks are effectively managed.
