Apex Flood Solutions products
Apex - Floodguard UPVC Door
Our uPVC door and window designs are based on the requirements for an aesthetically-pleasing solution combined with sound engineering. They are intended to provide the security of a flood barrier without the worry over deployment, and without any storage issues.
Apex - Floodguard Aluminium Door & Window
Our aluminium door and window designs were based on requirements for an aesthetically-pleasing solution combined with sound engineering suitable for dealing with significant flood loads including full height protection. As existing aluminium door systems were only able to accommodate 28mm thick glass units, this meant that we designed our own system including 22 different extrusions in order to make up the range of configurations and all to accomodate glass units of up to 60mm. Manufactured entirely in the UK using 100% recyclable materials and with a 50 year design life, this solution also represents our most sustainable option.
Apex - Floodguard Monocoque Door
These may be referred to as composite doors except that they are very different. Standard composite doors are formed of foam sandwiched between a skin of GRP, perhaps with a thin timber element for strength. This limits the strength of the door cuasing a risk of warping or delamination. In contrast our Floodguard Monocoque Door slabs use a GRP monocoque structure for strength and do not rely upon foam.
Apex - Floodguard Timber Door
A flood door does not have to look like a submarine door. Now, we can offer beautiful flood doors made of accoya and tricoya to closely match an existing door in a conservation area. Utilising the same locking and sealing technology as our uPVC, monocoque and aluminium doors means the same high performance according to BS851188-1:2019.
Apex - Floodguard Timber Gate
Floodguard Timber Gates provide a flood resistance with the style to complement a beautiful home and garden. They offer none of the storage and deployment issues of demountable barriers. Deployment is provided by closing and locking the gate to engage the seals. Gates can be offered in inward or outward configurations, single or double leaf, full height, half height or custom sizes.
Apex - Floodguard Slot-in Barrier
A well established concept is a ‘stoplog’ whereby the horizontal beams are slotted into vertical U-channels on either side. What makes Floodguard Slot-in Barrier special is the great range of width and heights which can be protected, and the incredible ease of use even compared with other stoplogs. Floodguard Slot-in Barrier includes unique patented features such as an additional compression device for the lowest beam to ensure a great ground seal. This also saves time and effort winding or cranking to seal from the top beam, and encourages users to prioritise partial deployment along the full length, and topping up the protection height as required.
Apex - Floodguard Clip-in Barrier
Floodguard Clip-in Barriers were the first flood door barrier to enter the market and achieve Kitemark accreditation in the year 2003, having since been installed across the UK, USA, France, Switzerland and Netherlands. This demountable flood barrier provides the same protection as a permanent barrier, but has the distinct advantage of being fully removable when not required.
Apex - Floodguard Clip-in Meterbox Cover
If you cannot get your meterbox raised above the flood level then these clip-in covers may be the solution. Simply clip the covers onto the pre-installed back-frame to create a seal around the meterbox.
Apex - Floodguard Screw-in Barrier
The Floodguard Screw-in Barrier benefits from an outwardly-curved, lightweight single panel which replicates the arch-dam principle, transmitting the loadings toward the edges and enhancing the seal. However it does not require a permanent back-frame fitted to the building. In this case, the only fixture is a small number of threaded sleeves along the sealing line which can be neatly capped off for minimal aesthetic disruption.
Apex - Floodguard Pivot Barrier
Our pivot gates can be used for both flood protection and for containment. The barrier remains in-situ ready for instant deployment.
