ENTEX Webitat - Third Generation Biological Fixed Media System
Webitat is ENTEX’s third generation biological fixed media system engineered to harness the patented BioWebtechnology to boost performance of Integrated Fixed-Film Activated Sludge (IFAS) systems or Submerged Fixed Film systems. It is designed to to actively manage the attached environment to foster optimal biomass growth on the BioWeb.
Entex FlowTex - 2nd Gen Disc Filter
FlowTex is a user-friendly, high-performance, tertiary filter suitable for both small and large flow applications. The FlowTex design incorporates a fixed disk with a rotating vacuum head. This outside-to-inside flow ensures that solids stay trapped within the basin and the stationary disc offers a visual check for clarity of the effluent. The FlowTex system is a low-cost option for use in a wide variety of applications and configurations.
ENTEX FlowTex - Drum Filter
FlowTex Drum Filter is a simple, inexpensive, cloth media filter designed for package plant and small flow applications. FlowTex filter provides for outside to inside flow and incorporates a rotating cloth filter drum and a fixed vacuum assembly for backwashing. FlowTex drum provides approximately 20 ft2 of filtration surface area. The drum filter can be configured as a clarifier insert or in a stand alone tank. The outside-to-inside flow prevents solids from becoming trapped inside the filter drum. Heavier solids settle to the bottom of the tank. Clarifier insert configurations allow for solids removal by clarifier underflow.
ENTEX - Package Wastewater Treatment Plants
ENTEX’s Packaged Wastewater Treatment Plants provide complete solutions for on-site treatment. These systems combine the benefits of the latest IFAS technology with proven Packaged Plant designs to treat municipal or industrial wastewater, providing excellent quality effluent. Packaged Plants are custom configured using proven designs and components to treat wastes from 10,000 gallons per day to 3.0 million gallons per day.
WavTex - Moving Woven Media System
WavTex is a moving woven media system using Entex’s patent pending EnTextile media in Integrated Fixed-film Activated Sludge (IFAS) and Submerged Fixed-Film (SFF) systems. Independently moving EnTextile media sheets continually wave in the aeration basin in a random motion, ensuring excellent oxygen and substrate transfer. WavTex is a cost-effective solution for existing activated sludge plants that need more advanced treatment. Because little or no additional tankage is required, WavTex is ideal for plants with limited room for expansion. It is also an excellent choice for space efficient, high performance new plant designs.
Systems We Upgrade
ENTEX - Conventional Activated Sludge
Conventional activated sludge (AS) uses suspended biomass to provide a flexible and efficient treatment system. While some AS systems use complete mix basins, a plug flow process with longer narrower basins is more common today. Similarly, while some AS systems still use older coarse bubble diffuser systems, most updated systems use fine bubble diffuser systems to maximize energy efficiency. There are step feed variations and tapered aeration variations, but normal systems have from 3 to 8 hours hydraulic retention time and are limited by the clarifiers as to how much solids may be maintained in the system. It is this MLSS limited factor that Entex’s fixed film technology addresses.
Oxidation Ditches
The oxidation channel or ditch may well be the most user friendly of current wastewater treatment system. The true version is extended aeration, which appears to be plug flow, but has complete mix reactor kinetics. It is very forgiving and with modern variations of multiple channels, is resilient and flexible. It is however rather land demanding.
Sequencing Batch Reactors (SBRs)
Since the 1980s when the EPA published its first Sequencing Batch Reactors (SBR) design manuals and SBRs became widely adopted, the SBR technology has not significantly improved, but the loads have steadily climbed. 30 years later, many SBRs are observing decreased treatment efficiency due to increasing loads. ENTEX’s Webitat for SBR system, the world’s most trusted fixed-media SBR upgrade solution, is proven to help restore & increase SBR treatment capacity by augmenting the existing suspended phase biology with attached phase biology.
Lagoons for Pond-Like Treatment Systems
Lagoons are pond-like treatment systems designed to receive, hold, and treat wastewater for a pre-determined period of time. They are often lined with clay or an artificial liner to prevent leaks to the groundwater below. Many plants are built with aerated lagoons because it is a relatively low-cost option which requires minimal maintenance. Unfortunately, Lagoons have historically offered very limited flexibility to increase performance should a plant become noncompliant or have to meet increased demand.
Contact Stabilization Activated Sludge Process (CSASP)
The contact stabilization activated sludge process (CSASP) typically achieves the same treatment efficiency in a smaller volume than conventional activated sludge plants. CSASP is particularly suited for small to mid-scale plants where influent wastewater contains a high fraction of particulate COD. With CSASP, the same amount of mass sludge can be retained in the system with almost 30% volume reduction compared to conventional activated sludge plants.
