In general presents advantages over the vertical drilling method as it is possible to access soil areas under not practicable grounds situated on its vertical, such as implementing the underpass of canals, rivers or roads. When it is required water table depletions over than 5 meters, mainly in excavations in which there is some kind of diaphragm (sheet piling, screens, plastic walls ..), in soils of low to moderate permeability, it is required in-depth catchments wells. The condition of low to moderate hydraulic conductivity require a greater number of wells, distributing into many low rate flow or pumping units, thus allowing the use of low power pumping equipment, optimizing costs, mainly those related to energy.
