Environmental Geology Services
The environmental geology discipline, often a part of engineering geology, involves studies, investigations, and reviews that often include.
Bioremediation Services
The bioremediation discipline is a multidisciplinary field led by microbiologists and supported by a range of other professionals. Working closely with remediation engineers, microbiologists have developed bioremediation to a point now demonstrated to be effective in environmental cleanups throughout the country and overseas. Many such projects have claimed successes, including bioremediation projects, but many successes are a result of volatilation, not to bioremediation per se.
Epidemiology Services
Epidemiology is the study and investigation of the distribution and causes of disease. Evaluations of distributions of a disease may include the investigation of geographical distributions, and in toxic tort personal injury claims, where epidemiological studies are important and necessary, the studies are used to evaluate whether exposures to specific chemicals or products are risk factors for the development of the disease. Epidemiology does not establish causation per se between an individuals exposure and their disease, but the discipline helps in identifying and understanding risk factors that may have an inference of association with the disease.
Brownfields Services
I2M Associates` President and CEO, Jeffrey D. King, P.G., acts as the day-to-day Project Manager for large remediation and redevelopment projects in his affiliated company, Pacific Environmental and Redevelopment Corporation (PERC). One such environmental project involved the environmental clean-up of an industrial site once considered a Brownfields site south of Tacoma, Washington. After overseeing the remediation of over 600,000 cubic yards of soil, King`s remediation operations company, PERC, oversaw the construction of a golf course, managed the maintenance of the golf course and the preparation work needed for the sale of over 250 acres of surrounding commercial property.
Groundwater Supply and Dewatering
The development and maintenance of a water supply are of importance to many people today, especially if one resides in the suburbs or in a rural setting. In large cities, water usually is supplied by a network of underground pipes from either a surface reservoir or from a system of high-capacity water wells. As population centers have expanded over the years, water wells often must co-exist with nearby oil and gas wells.
