Audit, inspections & Investigations Services
Here at OMS we are frequently asked “How can we make sure that we are complying with all the Health and Safety Laws?” Regular or annual Health and Safety Audits, for your organisation, conducted by one of our seasoned consultants, is the answer. A Health and Safety audit will provide invaluable information into the level of your legal compliance and identify areas where you could be vulnerable to prosecution. We can carry out an audit against the requirements of either HS(G)65 or OHSAS 18001, which can be focused on single locations, certain operations or on the whole of your organisation.
Competent Person Service
Good competent health and safety advice is fundamental to the good management of business health and safety. For a company or organisation to be able to properly manage health and safety, it needs quality, expert health and safety advice input into the organisation and its management. It is a legal requirement. Legislation requires that an employer must appoint sufficient competent person/s to provide health and safety help. A competent person is one who has sufficient training with experience and knowledge that allows them to properly advise and assist you.
Construction Design & Management (CDM) Services
According to the CDM regulation 2007 a CDM Co-ordinator must be appointed and the HSE notified for every construction project that will run longer than 30 days, or 500 person days, excluding where the work is in relation to a domestic client. Early appointment of the CDM Co-ordinator is crucial for effective planning and establishing management arrangements from the start. The Regulations require the appointments to take place as soon as is practicable, after initial design work or other preparation for construction work has begun.
Fire Risk Assessments Services
The penalties of non-compliance regarding Fire Risk Assessments can be severe. Here at OMS we can conduct your Fire Risk Assessment on a one-off ad-hoc or on an annual basis. We can also provide training for you organisation to have someone qualified on site. If you are responsible for business premises, an employer, self-employed with business premises, a charity or voluntary organisation, a contractor with a degree of control over any premises, then you MUST comply by carrying out a Fire Risk.
