Hazardous Material Response Awareness

Scope of Training: This course is designed for individuals who, during their normal duties, could encounter incidents involving hazardous materials. Participants will learn how to recognize the presence of hazardous materials, and how to protect themselves, secure the area and call for assistance from trained personnel.

Hazardous Material Response Operations

Scope of Training: This course is designed for individuals who are responsible for conducting an initial response to a release or potential release of hazardous materials. Upon completion of this course, participants will have the ability to initiate and complete defensive actions from a safe distance to control a release of hazardous materials. Participants will learn how to minimize the exposure of responding personnel to the release, and how to minimize the effects of the release on property, personnel and the environment.

Hazardous Material Response Technician

Scope of Training: This course is designed for individuals who are expected to respond to incidents involving hazardous materials. Participants are trained to analyze problems involving hazardous materials, and taught how to select the most appropriate method of mitigating and controlling a release of a hazardous material using specialized protective clothing and equipment.

Incident Command and Management Systems

Scope of Training: This program provides a comprehensive overview of the National Incident Management System and the manner in which it interfaces with the Incident Command System for incident management. The program focuses on the development and integration of NIMS and ICS into emergency management and response plans and contingency plans, and is suitable for corporate, business or industrial facilities. The course deals with the development of those plans and the manner in which designated fire, security and emergency response personnel function in assigned roles. Participants will also learn how to interface with emergency response agencies and organizations.

Hazardous Material Sector Specialist Employee A, B, C

Scope of Training: This course is designed for individuals responsible for responding to incidents involving hazardous materials. Individuals who have completed this course will have a solid working knowledge of incident response techniques, enabling them to respond to hazardous materials incidents in a safe and effective manner. This course uses a "hands on" approach to enhance assimilation and retention of knowledge, and covers specialized materials, containers and incident scenarios associated with the individual"s area of responsibility.

Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response

Scope of Training: Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response. This course is for individuals who are responsible for responding to hazardous material incidents at transfer, storage and disposal facilities. It prepares participants to safely complete offensive actions to deal with hazardous material incidents.

Basic Spill Response

Scope of Training: This course is designed for individuals who are responsible for responding to spills of common industrial products within their facilities. Programs are tailored to client specific hazards, including tanks, drums and totes of lube oil, hydraulic oil, paint, solvents and mineral spirits.

Facility and ER Plan Testing

Scope of Training: Table top scenarios, Mock scenarios (small – city wide), Evacuation / ERP specific testing.

Confined Space Entry Support Staff (Legislation Only)

Scope of Training: This course will cover the legislation related to confined space entries under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, as amended effective September 30, 2006, and associated regulations. Training may be held at your facility or ours.
