Aqua - Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) Wastewater Treatment System

Aqua Clear’s Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) wastewater treatment system is a combination of biological treatment and membrane filtration. The MBR system has a much smaller footprint than conventional activated sludge suspended growth process which typically includes secondary clarification followed by tertiary media filtration. The effluent produced by the MBR process is of exceptional water quality that can be reused onsite for nonpotable applications. The MBR process removes BOD, COD, TOC, TSS and total nitrogen from the effluent.

Aqua Clear - Wastewater Electrodialysis Reversal (EDR) System

Aqua Clear electrodialysis reversal (EDR) systems are used to treat and reuse wastewaters with high levels of TDS. Applications include reuse of cooling tower blowdown, flue gas desulfurization wastewater, rinse waters, and brine concentrate from RO systems. Aqua Clear EDR systems further concentrate the brine into a smaller waste stream; thereby, reducing the cost of brine disposal while increasing the overall recovery of water within the plant. An EDR stack consists of alternating layers of anion- and cation-selective membranes. This stack of cell-pairs is positioned between an anode and cathode which supply the voltage potential to the module.  The membranes allow the ions to pass through with anion-selective membranes permeable only to anions and cation-selective membranes permeable only to cations.

Aqua Clear - Ceramic Microfiltration (CMF) System

Aqua Clear Ceramic Membrane Filtration (CMF) systems have various applications in wastewater reuse particularly for high fouling or high temperature wastewater. Ceramic membranes range in pore sizes from microfiltration to ultrafiltration to nanofiltration and are a chemical-free method of separating oil, grease, BOD, COD and TSS. CMF technology is used in treating the wastewater from food processing, meat processing/rendering, creamery/dairy, pharmaceuticals, textiles, industrial laundry, chemicals/petrochemicals, and metal finishing.
