Gas Removal Systems

Model Odormix SP - Odorous Gas Removal Media for Sewerage Treatment

ODORMIX SP MEDIA demonstrate a higher working capacity for broad-spectrum oxidation of contaminants in actual field conditions, where multiple gas challenges are present. The Purafil SP Series has been specially engineered to contain more permanganate (the active ingredient) for increased removal capacity, allowing the media to remain more available for removal of target gases. Purafil ESD’s Odormix SP (patent-pending) Media offers broad spectrum removal of odorous gases related to sewerage treatment operations.

Model Odorcarb Ultra - Alumina-based Media

ODORCARB ULTRA MEDIA is the first activated alumina-based media that removes 0.30 grams (g) of odorous hydrogen sulfide gas (H2S) per cubic centimeter (cc) of media. It is the primary media in Purafil ESD’s odor control systems for wastewater treatment applications. Odorcarb Ultra media contains Media Life Indicator Pellets (patent-pending) which offer a visual indication of remaining media life, by changing from blue to white when media is spent.

Model Odoroxidant SP - Broad-Spectrum Contaminant Oxidation Media

Odoroxidant sp media demonstrate a higher working capacity for broad-spectrum oxidation of contaminants in actual field conditions, where multiple gas challenges are present The Purafil SP Series has been specially engineered to contain more permanganate (the active ingredient) for increased removal capacity, allowing the media to remain more available for removal of target gases. Odoroxidant` SP (patent-pending) Media demonstrates a high removal capacity for sewerage gases, including hydrogen sulfide, aldehydes, sulfur dioxide and many organic compounds.

Model CSO - Chlorine and Sulfur Dioxide Gas Removal Solution

PURAFIL ESD CSO MEDIA, has been proven to offer a high removal capacity for chlorine and sulfur dioxide gas. Third-party laboratory testing demonstrates CSO`s ability to remove chlorine and sulfur dioxide gas and is recommended for prevention of toxic gas releases.

Model Chlorosorb Ultra - Carbon-based Filter Media

PURAFIL ESD CHLOROSORB ULTRA MEDIA’S removal capacity for chlorine gas (Cl2) is 15% minimum by weight. For example, 100 lbs (45.36 kg) of Chlorosorb Ultra Media will remove a minimum of 15 lbs (6.80 kg) of chlorine. Third-party laboratory testing demonstrates Chlorosorb Ultra’s ability to remove the entire contents of a fully-loaded, storage cylinder with less than 25 parts per billion at discharge.

Chemisorbant Media

Purafil Chemisorbant Media shall consist of manufactured, generally spherical, porous pellets. Pellets shall be formed from a combination of activated alumina and other binders, suitably impregnated with potassium permanganate to provide optimum adsorption, absorption and oxidation of a wide variety of gaseous contaminants. The potassium permanganate shall be applied during pellet formation, such that the impregnant is uniformly distributed throughout the pellet volume and is totally available for reaction.

Model Purakol-HG - Activated Carbon Media

PURAFIL PURAKOL-HG MEDIA, 3EE shall consist of sulfurized, bituminous, coal based, pelletized, activated carbon of high adsorptive capacity. Purakol-HGs Media is specifically designed for the capture of mercury vapors.

Model AM - Ammonia Removal Media

PURACARB AM media has a higher bulk density and larger removal capacity than standard ammonia medias. It is designed for 99.5% initial removal efficiency in Purafil`s equipment systems.

Chemisorbant Media

Purafil & Triple-Blend Makeup Air Media shall consist of a mix of Purafil Select media. Purakor activated carbon media and Puracarb media. Purafil& Select Chemisorbant Media shall consist of manufactured, generally spherical, porous pellets. Pellets shall be formed from a combination of activated alumina and other binders, suitably impregnated with potassium permanganate to provide optimum adsorption, absorption and oxidation of a wide variety of gaseous contaminants. The potassium permanganate shall be applied during pellet formation, such that the impreg-nant is uniformly distributed throughout the pellet volume and is totally available for reaction.

Activated Carbon Media

The Purakol Media shall be an activated carbon for the control of hydrocarbons with a high surface area availablefor adsorption.
