OTT HydroMet - Weighing Rain Gauge with Automatic Drain

The OTT WAD 200/314, a weighing technology combined with a self-emptying weighing rain sensor, is specially designed for the use in subtropical and tropical climates. The highly sensitive measuring principle of the precipitation meter meets the requirements of the WMO guidelines and delivers accurate measured values in real time for both quantity and intensity of liquid precipitation in the range of 0.001 to 720 mm/h. The  rain gauge has a low power consumption and is an accurate measuring instrument even under extreme weather conditions. A usually prescribed annual calibration can be carried out with the aid of a reference weight and is therefore more accurate than the usual calibration procedure using water volume.

OTT - Weighing Rain Gauge

The OTT Pluvio² L is an all-weather precipitation gauge that uses superior weight-based technology to measure the amount and intensity of rain, snow, and hail. Developed in conjunction with industry-leading meteorological services, the OTT Pluvio² L employs a high-precision load cell and algorithms that compensate for wind, temperature, and evaporation, ensuring the highest accuracy precipitation measurements over time.

OTT HydroMet - Compact Universal Weighing Precipitation Gauge

The OTT Pluvio²S weighing precipitation gauge measures the intensity and cumulative precipitation in a broad measuring range from 0 to 3,000 mm/h. The professional rain gauge is a further development of the tried-and-tested OTT Pluvio², with state-of-the-art technology in a compact design that captures up to 400 mm of precipitation on a collecting area of 200 cm². It is virtually maintenance-free, fits onto 2-inch pedestals, needs little space and can replace conventional rain gauges or tipping buckets without any structural work.

OTT HydroMet - Laser Weather Sensor

The OTT Parsivel² is a modern laser disdrometer for comprehensive measurement of all precipitation types. The Parsivel² captures both the size and speed of falling particles, classifying them into one of 32 separate size and velocity classes. The raw data are used to calculate the type, amount, intensity and kinetic energy of the precipitation, the visibility in the precipitation, and the equivalent radar reflectivity.

OTT HydroMet - Digital Weather Sensor

The compact, long-term stability weather sensor OTT TRH is responsible for the measurement of relative humidity and temperature. In addition it can calculate the values for absolute humidity, dew point and mixing ratio and output these via the SDI-12 interface. A protective cap prevents dust and dirt from entering the sensor system. The included protective housing provides weather and radiation protection.

OTT HydroMet - Ultrasonic Wind Sensor

The accurate wind sensor uses the run-time differential method for determining the wind speed and wind direction. It provides output for instantaneous values, vector and scalar means, the maximum gust of wind and wind direction, the maximum/minimum values and the virtual temperature. Data output through serial or analogue interfaces provides compatibility of the Lufft Ventus for commercially available hydrometeorological dataloggers and PLC systems. An automatic heater ensures reliable operation even in the lowest temperature.
