This one-day course provides a concise overview of major NSR regulations (PSD and nonattainment NSR) and permitting requirements with a primary emphasis on more advanced topics. Topics include detailed applicability calculations (including complex netting issues), various techniques for conducting BACT analyses (with emphasis on economics impacts), GHG implementation, RMRR, PALs, project aggregation, alternatives sites and processes evaluations, PM2.5 and updates on emerging NSR issues.

This one-day course is designed for new and experienced professionals who are interested in gaining insights on how to minimize the impact of Title V operating permits, reduce duplicative or unnecessary monitoring, and standardize permits across agencies. The course will provide strategies on how to ensure compliance while minimizing the operational intrusions required by Title V permits. Example permit conditions will be discussed to provide insights on how agencies and other clients have approached compliance demonstration requirements. Information on when to re-open a permit and the modification process will be provided. Whenever possible, the latest guidance and regulations from EPA will be discussed and analyzed.
