Cascade Impactors

Moudi Impactor - Model 140 - Quartz Crystal Microbalance (QCM)

The Real-Time, Quartz Crystal Microbalance (QCM) MOUDI™ impactor is a precision research-grade impactor with real-time mass detection based on QCM sensors. The impactor has a 2.5-µm inlet and six QCM stages with sharp collection efficiency curves and calibrated cutpoints of 960, 510, 305, 156, 74 and 45 nm at 10 L/min inlet flow rate.

Model 128, 129, 130, 131 - High Flow Impactors (HFI)

Models 128, 129, 130 and 131 are High Flow Impactors (HFI) ideal for sampling particles at low concentrations (pristine environments), for collecting more mass per stage as compared with conventional MOUDI™ impactors, or for obtaining samples in shorter sampling intervals. HFI impactors are available with 3, 4, 5 or 6 stages in the 0.25 to 10 µm aerodynamic size range. Particle deposits are collected on 75-mm substrates which can be analyzed for mass, or via chemical analysis or microscopy.

Moudi-II and and NanoMOUDI-II - Model 120R, 122R, 125R - Cascade Impactors

MOUDI-II and NanoMOUDI-II impactors are second generation Micro-Orifice, Uniform-Deposit Impactors from MSP. These impactors are noted for their superior aerodynamic design, sharp cut-size, and low particle loss characteristics. Up to 6000 precision micro-orifice nozzles are used to reduce pressure drop, jet velocity, particle bounce, and re-entrainment.

Moudi - Model 100NR, 100S4, 110NR - Classic, Precise Cascade Impactors

MOUDI impactors are classic, precise cascade impactors with sharp cut-size, low internal-loss characteristics, and high accuracy. These cascade impactors provide sharp cut-sizes, low internal losses, and high accuracy in a non-rotating configuration with a 30 L/min smapling flow rate. The MOUDI impactors, 100NR, 100S4, and 110NR, are used for collecting size-fractionated particle samples in the 0.056 to 10 µm aerodynamic diameter range for gravimetric and/or chemical analyses. The various MOUDI models hold various number of stages, as listed in the table below, the classic MOUDI`s hold various impaction stages and cut-sizes. Particle deposits are collected on standard 47-mm substrates which can be analyzed for mass, or via chemical analysis or microscopy.
