TSI - Model 3790A - Engine Exhaust Condensation Particle Counter (EECPC)

Counting particles emitted from engines is valuable in engine emissions research, and is a critical component in engine type certification according to the Particle Measurement Programme (PMP). The TSI Engine Exhaust Condensation Particle Counter (EECPC) Model 3790A is designed specifically for these needs and satisfies UNECE R83 requirements and is a very valuable tool for any customer who needs to measure particles in engine exhaust.

Model 3068B - Aerosol Electrometer

The Aerosol Electrometer provides accurate measurements of electrical current and flow rate. It measures total net charge on aerosol particles from 0.002 to 5 µm. When paired with a TSI Electrostatic Classifier, the Aerosol Electrometer measures the number concentration of monodisperse aerosol. This configuration is used primarily for calibrating and testing particle instruments like Condensation Particle Counters.Data are presented on the front-panel display and output by RS-232 or USB in real time and also as an analog voltage for data recording.

TSI - Model 3550 - Nanoparticle Surface Area Monitor

Occupational health risks associated with using and manufacturing nanoparticles are not clearly understood. Workers may inhale and be exposed to levels that greatly exceed ambient levels. Leading experts contend that surface area, rather than mass, should be measured for nanoparticles, because nanoparticles have far more surface area for the same amount of mass. This increases the chance of reaction with the body. As a result, there is a growing need to study health effects and assess workplace conditions and personal exposure to nanoparticles, based on the measurement of particle surface area.
