Model 3302A - Aerosol Diluter

Our Aerosol Diluter reduces particle concentrations of high-concentration aerosols, providing a representative sample that meets the input requirements of the Aerodynamic Particle Sizer® (APS™) spectrometer. This APS accessory achieves dilution ratios of 100 to 1 and 20 to 1 using easy-to-change capillary tubes. Two diluters in a tandem configuration provide dilution ratios as high as 10,000 to 1. Engineered to provide very low particle loss in the 0.5- to 10-µm size range, the Aerosol Diluter is totally self-contained and requires no outside power or compressed gas.

Conductive Silicone Tubing for Particle Transport

Conductive silicone tubing is critical for aerosol experiments because it reduces the build-up of static charge and minimizes particle loss to the tubing wall. TSI offers flexible, conductive tubing in four sizes to accommodate most experimental setups.

Flow Splitter Model 3708

The Flow Splitter directs an aerosol sample to as many as four destinations at once. This accessory is especially useful when performing instrument comparison or calibration experiments. Smooth flow transitions provide equal flow distribution. Stainless-steel construction and an electropolished interior prevent the aerosol from being contaminated. The Flow Splitter has a 3/8-inch straight-tube inlet and four 1/4-inch outlets (outside diameters). Maximum total flow rate is 30 L/min.

Tisch - Model 3306 - Impactor Inlet

The Impactor Inlet is an accessory for the Aerodynamic Particle Sizer® (APS™) spectrometer. It combines a single-stage impactor with a filter to take a size-segregated sample. It then directs a small, representative sample of the initial test aerosol (diluted at 80 to 1) into the APS spectrometer for size-distribution measurement. The inlet aerosol passes through a single-stage impactor (2.5 or 4.7 µm) and is collected with an afterfilter, which collects a sample for later mass or chemical analysis.

TSI - Model 3090 - Engine Exhaust Particle Size Spectrometer EEPS

The EEPS uses an array of sensitive electrometers, combined with three proprietary data inversion matrices, to provide real-time particle size data in 32 size channels. The data inversion matrices allow the researcher to optimize size distribution accuracy for specific particle types (soot, default and compact), and matrices can be applied at the time of measurement or in a post-processing environment. It does not include any built-in sample dilution, giving the user maximum flexibility and independence with respect to sample conditioning. It operates at ambient pressure to prevent evaporation of volatile and semi-volatile particles. Providing size distributions and number concentrations down to 1000 #/cm³ ten times a second, it has been proven to be a valuable tool for automotive emissions engineers and aerosol researchers.

TSI - Model 3091 - Fast Mobility Particle Size Spectrometer

The FMPS spectrometer 3091 offers a total of 32 channels of resolution (16 channels per decade). It uses an electrical mobility measurement technique similar to that used in our SMPS™ spectrometer. However, instead of a CPC, the FMPS spectrometer uses multiple, low-noise electrometers for particle detection. This enables particle-size-distribution measurements in real time, providing the unique ability to visualize particle events and dynamic changes in particle size distribution. The FMPS spectrometer operates at a high flow rate (10 L/min) to minimize diffusion losses of ultrafine and nanoparticles. It operates at ambient pressure to prevent evaporation of volatile particles, and it requires no consumables. It is easy to transport, set up, and operate. Equipment be configured to measure single or multiple runs continuously for up to 12 hours in length. Its large, color VGA display and built-in control knob provide easy access to instrument features, set-up menus, and data displays.

TSI - Model 3938 - Scanning Mobility Particle Size Spectrometer (SMPS)

The SMPS spectrometer is a nanoparticle sizer capable of measuring the size distribution of airborne submicron particles with accuracy and precision. It combines electrical mobility sizing with single-particle counting to deliver nanoparticle concentrations in discrete size channels. The size resolution capability of the SMPS is as high as 128 channels per decade, resulting in up to 192 channels in total. The SMPS Model 3938 is component-based, allowing users to customize their SMPS to match their experimental needs. Users may choose among three DMAs, seven CPCs, and two different neutralization techniques, enabling measurement from 1 nm - 1 um.

Model 3321 - Aerodynamic Particle Size Spectrometer

The Model 3321 Aerodynamic Particle Sizer® (APS™) spectrometer provides high-resolution, real-time aerodynamic measurements of particles from 0.5 to 20 µm. This unique particle sizer also measures light-scattering intensity in the equivalent optical size range of 0.37 to 20 µm. By providing paired data for each particle, the APS spectrometer opens up exciting new possibilities for those interested in studying the makeup of an aerosol.

TSI - Model 3330 - Optical Particle Sizer

The TSI Optical Particle Sizer (OPS) Model 3330 is a light, portable unit that provides fast and accurate measurement of particle concentration and particle size distribution using single particle counting technology at an affordable price. Backed by over 40 years of aerosol instrumentation design experience, the OPS uses state-of-the-art optics with 120° light collection and sophisticated electronics processing resulting in precision, high quality data. Rigorous factory calibration standards ensure measurement accuracy. The Model 3330 can be used alone, or it can be placed in TSI’s weatherproof Environmental Enclosure.

TSI - Model 3910 - NanoScan SMPS Nanoparticle Sizer

Weighing less than 20 pounds (including two hot-swappable batteries), the NanoScan SMPS Model 3910 measures nanoparticle size distributions from 10 to 420 nm in one minute. Its internal CPC uses isopropyl alcohol as a working fluid, so the NanoScan is suitable for use in a variety of sensitive environments. Single particle mode allows the user to monitor particle concentrations of a single, user-set particle size. Data logging is built in to the instrument, so measurements may be made without the use of a laptop. As a package, i.e. the Model 3910 combined with the Optical Particle Sizer Model 3330 enables users to measure three orders of size magnitude from 10 nm to 10 µm. These instruments are affordable, portable, and provide real-time data that can be merged with the multi-instrument manager (MIM) software. Used already for cabin measurements in cars and airplanes, the sky is literally the limit when it comes to new applications.
