The Rapid 150 Series of low speed granulators is intended primarily for beside-the-press injection molding applications. Immediate in-line recycling of sprues and rejects maintains product quality and eliminates the distribution and storage of waste and regrind. No matter how your production machines are configured, we have the right beside-the-press or under-the-press models for your kind of production.

The new Rapid 200 Series is ideal for direct recycling of plastic waste and rejects primarily from injection molding and blow molding processes. No matter what your requirements, a standard model is available to suit your exact needs for capacities up to 450 lbs/h. The number of standard alternatives, like cutterhouse width, rotor configuration, rotor speed, discharge systems, etc., allow you to select the granulator best suited to your type of plastic waste, throughput vo­lume, granule size and direct recycling requirements.

The new 300 Series medium-size granulators are used for central or beside-the-press operation with all kinds of molding processes. Typical waste includes sprues, runners, molded items, profiles, smaller pipes and sheets. The big benefit with Rapid’s “open-hearted” engineering concept is that it provides direct and easy access to the heart of the machine and gives very rapid cleaning and maintenance times for fast production changeovers. The clear access to core machine parts also allows “visibly clean” inspection and approval, preventing contamination at color and material changes.

The new Rapid LBB 300-Series, Low Built Base, granulator is an extremely low built granulator series available in three widths, up to 1500 mm. Typical applications involve thermo­forming where the granulator can operate with either a rollfeed unit synced to line speed with a loop control or by a simple tray for falling skeletal frames from the line. Other suitable applications are as a final granulation step in a setup with a shredder and also for films and sheets up to 8 mm thickness depending on material.

The new 400 Series medium-size granulators are used for central or beside-the-press operation with all kinds of molding processes. Typical waste includes sprues, runners, molded items, profiles, smaller pipes and sheets. The Rapid 400-series comes in 4 widths, 18", 24", 36" and 48". The big benefit with Rapid’s “open-hearted” engineering concept is that it provides direct and easy access to the heart of the machine and gives very rapid cleaning and maintenance times for fast production changeovers. The clear access to core machine parts also allows “visibly clean” inspection and approval, preventing contamination at color and material changes.

The Rapid 500 Series large-size granulators are used for central or beside-the-press operation in all types of plastic applications. Typical waste includes large volume granulation of sprues and runners, large products like molded items, profiles, pipes and sheets. The Rapid RAPTOR shredders are unique in many ways. They are designed for all types of plastics, large 1200 lit IBC containers or heavy lumps, all are efficiently recycled. The new patented Rapid QuadCUT™ knife design offers four true cutting edges per knife in a solid piece which makes the knives the toughest you can get. The knives are clamped in a rock solid design, including a shock absorber to protect the rotor from being destroyed in a sudden impact from any metal etc. that accidentally have entered the cutter house. The shredders come in two widths, 800 and 1350 mm. The standard version comes with FlexiPUSH (pneumatic pusher). For voluminous light weight goods, a TopPUSH (pneumatic) can be added. In case extra power is needed the PowerPUSH version (hydraulic pusher) is recommended.
