Trilogy Publishing Manager will administer your marketing. Promotional deals can be specified and costs can be allocated to provide media management, campaign performance and prospect analysis. The system also can provide a sales forecast and stock order reserve based on the performance of past campaigns. All special deals, delivery charges and prices will be automatically displayed in order processing based on the promotion code. Targeted catalogues can be produced using the Catalogue Production Module from stored data in the Stock Module.

This module not only maintains your customers and prospects, but also all contacts associated with running your business such as trade customers, suppliers, shippers, agents, authors, etc. The system provides rapid, extensive search and retrieval facilities for both individual customers and “categorized” groups. From the customer record, all customer related information is available, e.g. invoice & payment history, orders and back orders, purchasing trends, subscription and standing order information, etc. From either an individual customer record or from a list of customers, you can merge with Microsoft Word to create a letter, send an e-mail, produce mailing labels or export the data.

Trilogy Accounts Receivable can be made available as a substitute for that normally provided by Great Plains making it an integrated part of the Great Plains Business Solutions. A direct integration with the CCH zip code and tax engine systems is available to provide a comprehensive sales tax solution for publishers, distributors and mail order specialists.

Trilogy Publishing Manager will enhance your marketing activity and give you the power of knowledge at your fingertips. The functionality includes Campaign and Media Management, Performance and Prospect Analysis together with Mailing Management and Catalog Production.

The standard system comes complete with over 200 Crystal Reports on sales, stock, customer and accounting data. These reports allow speedy analysis of the wealth of data captured within the Publishing Manager. In addition, because so much data is displayed on the screens within the system, you may find that you do not need to run as many reports as with some systems. Optionally available is PUMAR – the Trilogy Business Intelligence system for conducting ad hoc investigations using sales and product data from the Publishing Manager. PUMAR is also available as a stand-alone application powered by Business Objects reporting tools that will allow you to make decisions based on objective facts rather than intuition.

Many publishing companies also operate a retail outlet. Both channels ideally need to be integrated to Inventory for efficient fulfilment. If the retail outlet is on another geographic location to the publishing, the EPoS module can work on line or as a stand-alone unit and update the main database with an occasional batch process through a modem. The system works with an EPoS till including touch screen systems and as well as a PC.

The subscription system provides a powerful, integrated solution giving a common customer database for subscribers, customers or members. The subscription records are treated as entities in their own right and may consist of any number of product records. The system also provides standing order management which allows a collection of items to be sold to groups of customers without having to key the individual sales manually, whilst observing the individual terms of trade for each customer.
