Title Management covers Contributor Management, Editorial, Product, Production Costing/Scheduling, Rights and Royalties functionality and manages the development of a book from concept to production. You can control acquisitions, author contracts, rights and royalties from a single database.

Trilogy’s Title Management system provides for the creation of contracts with contributors, whether they be original authors, illustrators or even narrators.  The system can create a contract using mail merge processes with Microsoft Word and signed contracts can be scanned in, stored and re-displayed from the contract record. The contributor record offers facilities to store full bibliographic details including pictures of the contributor for subsequent use in press releases and other marketing material. All details of the rights bought in as part of the contract are created and maintained both for use in contract management and for subsequent control of the royalty managememt processes.

Trilogy has designed a powerful solution for editors to provide easy access to information concerning existing and planned titles. An editor can access a detailed sales analysis view of any existing product to assist in the planning for new product. Editors data is maintained in a company wide database providing immediate and common information to all authorised users. Some data can still be maintained in spreadsheets, but access to these is controlled via the database records concerned, so ensuring a structured approach to the use of spreadsheets.

Full details of the product life cycle are maintained in the Trilogy Title Management system, from concept of a title to the ultimate business analysis of the profitability of  the title in all its formats.

Every job can be costed in as much detail as required with budget, estimated and actual job comparisons. Model groups can be used so costings for similar jobs may be copied from existing models. Production purchase order functions  are provided for goods and services. Final production orders are linked to the Trilogy ‘Goods In’  module for subsequent goods in processing.

The Trilogy solution maintains key production information dates, keeping all parties informed of their necessary roles and responsibilities, enhancing the overall production process. The scheduling functionality is highly configurable and includes alerts where events change, and maintains both the original and the changed schedule history.

Title Management offers powerful rights and royalties solutions to satisfy the most demanding contract requirements. The system allows full control of the contract process, including the set up of all rights details, which automatically control the subsequent set up of all the royalty rules. For Publishers selling rights, a complete rights management system includes the control of submissions, options and bids. It tracks the receipt of rights and royalty receipts, and has a full integration to both sales and purchase ledgers for a number of optional financial systems, including Great Plains and Navision.
