Metrohm - Model IC-MS / IC-ICP/MS - Coupling of Ion Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry System
Combining IC with an electrospray ionization mass spectrometer (ESI-MS) or an inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (ICP-MS) solves even complex separation problems while achieving outstanding sensitivities and selectivities. These so-called hyphenated techniques provide valuable information for unambiguous peak identification and are less prone to matrix influences than IC with conductivity detection.

Fully automated system for direct measurement of temperature, conductivity, and pH value; the titrimetric determination of p value, m value, calcium, and magnesium, and the determination of anions using ion chromatography following Inline Ultrafiltration. The system consists of the 856 Conductivity Module, three 800 Dosinos, Rod Stirrer "Sample Robot", OMNIS Titrator, OMNIS Dosing Module, OMNIS Sample Robot S, and 930 Compact IC Flex Oven/SeS/PP/Deg with sequential suppression, and an IC conductivity detector. The system is operated using the OMNIS and MagIC Net software packages. TitrIC flex – the power pack for ion analysis.

The cations (including calcium and magnesium) and anions are determined simultaneously with ion chromatography following Inline Ultrafiltration. Automatic calculation of the ion balance provides maximum confidence in the results.

The 920 Absorber Module combines the Combustion Module with the ion chromatograph. The 920 Absorber Module ensures that the gaseous compounds of the analytes are dissolved and channeled to the IC. It is responsible for the entire Liquid Handling. In addition to Combustion IC, it can also be used for gas analysis.

The Liquid Autosampler CIC (TEI) is used for automated analysis of liquid samples using Combustion IC. It can be used in combination with the Boat Introduction Modules (6.07311.010 or 6.07311.020) and the Liquid Introduction Module (6.07311.040).
