Signature series Mini Soil Auger Kits are available in 3 1/4` auger size. The 5/8` threaded and Quick Connect kits are available in 2 1/4` or 3 1/4` auger sizes. The stainless steel mini soil auger kit is popular for critical environmental sampling. The New AMS 3-1/4” Hex Quick Pin Sampling Kit allows for collection of both disturbed & relatively undisturbed core samples down to a depth of 12ft. This kit features hardened steel male/female hex connections that accept standard 3/8” snapper pins or heat treated 3/8” U-clips. The simplicity of the snap pins is unmatched for hand auger applications, while the heat treated 3/8” U-clips will allow you to hammer & reverse hammer your core sampler with confidence. Both of these connections offer easy assembly/disassembly on site & will allow you to accomplish your sampling task quicker & more efficiently.

AMS professional soil sampling kits are designed for soil sampling professionals who want the strongest, most durable connection on all of their new and imporoved augers, extensions, cross handles, slide hammers, and split-core samplers. They are AMS`s newest and most impressive soil sampling kits to date. AMS professional series sampling kits come with 3/4in threaded professional regular auger and mud auger (2 1/4in or 3 1/4in), as well as three 4ft extensions, 18in rubber-coated cross handle, 10 lb. slide hammer, split-core sampler (2in x 6in or 1 3/8in x 6in), plastic liner, two end caps, rock breaker kit, cleaning brush, universal slip wrench, and two adjustable crescent wrenches. All of the components fit into an included AMS deluxe carrying case with handles and wheels for added portability.

The NEW AMS Signature Series Soil Classification Kit was built with operator comfort and efficiency in mind. The AMS Signature Series thread pattern allows for quick and easy connection/disconnection with 2-1/2” turns to connect. It also includes the AMS ratcheting cross handle, knurled extensions in 1ft. intervals, soil color binder with chart, and extendible tile probe which is crucial for locating underground obstructions. Other kit components include; regular auger, mud auger, open face clay auger, auger cleanout tool, three 4ft. extensions, 10pd. slide hammer, 2” x 6” Split Core Sampler, two cleaning brushes, gloves, slip wrench, Fluoropolymer tape (for threads), wrenches, all packaged in a poly-reinforced carrying case with convenient wheels and handles.

The AMS Fiberglass Auger Kit provides some protection against possible electric shock when working in areas where buried electric cables may be present. The one-piece 48-inch Fiberglass Tile Probe included in the kit is ideal for locating irrigation, power and water lines, and it should be used as a primary device to determine whether or not it is safe to use a hand auger at the sampling location.

The Deluxe AMS Fiberglass Auger Kit provides some protection against possible electric shock when working in areas where buried electric cables may be present. This kit features the trusted AMS Signature Series thread pattern, which takes 2-1/2 revolutions to connect & disconnect. The two-piece 36-inch Tile Probe (with rounded safety tip) has a detachable plastic handle & zinc plated extension rod. It is ideal for locating irrigation, power and water lines, and it should be used as a primary device to determine whether or not it is safe to use a hand auger at the sampling location. The (two) 4ft. fiberglass extensions in this kit have been sealed with a protective, non-conductive coating, that is moisture resistant and prevents fiberglass bloom & splintering.

The AMS Compacted Soil Sampler works great for obtaining “composite” soil samples in hard compacted and frozen soils. The 1-1/16” x 21” Flighted Auger with carbide bit may be connected to any ½” chuck drill. The entire unit assembles/disassembles in seconds & the stainless steel footplate ensures quality samples & easy decontamination.
