Komax Sigma - Model 688 ST - Fully Automatic Twisting Machine With Spot Taping Unit
The fully automatic Sigma 688 ST not only twists precise wires, but also automatically fixes both wire ends in the same process step for transport and further processing. The Sigma 688 ST automatic twisting machine enables the processing of wires, to twisting, to fixing the open wire ends in just one device. In this way, it meets all OEM quality requirements in a fullyautomatic overall process. The modular system structure offers maximum flexibility with six stations for process modules such as crimp or seal elements, as well as a twisting process and a spot taping unit consisting of two spot taping modules. The quality remains high due to integrable safety systems such as the Q1250i, and the fixing of both open cable ends enables dimensionally accurate work in downstream process steps. The Sigma 688 ST offers reproducible high quality with short set-up and changeover times.
Komax BenchTop - Model BT-UT - Wire Processing Untwisting Machine
The BT-UT is a highly flexible and accurate BenchTop untwisting machine for fast and reliable untwisting of a wide range of multi-core cables and twisted pairs of wires. The BT-UT is equipped with a cable clamp and a rotary gripper to perform the untwisting process. During the wire processing, the cable clamp holds the multi-core cable or twisted pair of wires in position while the rotary gripper untwists the wire ends at high speed without any operator influence. Once the wires are straight, the product is released by the cable clamp and can be removed from the machine. The BT-UT untwisting machine is easy to operate and guarantees precise and repetitive performance thanks to the touchscreen operated software that stores the untwisting parameters. With its compact size, the device is mobile and can be placed anywhere while hardly taking up space on any workbench. An optional footpedal and barcode scanner can be applied to optimize production efficiency.
Komax Sigma - Model 588 - Fully Automatic Twisting Machine
The Sigma 588 enables fully automated, high-performance production and output of twisted cables, including crimping, sealing, and intelligent wire shifting for any open end configuration. The Sigma 588 is the first stage of fully automated twisted cable production with cross-sections from 0.22 mm² to 2.5 mm², tailored to meet the needs of various production volumes with high quality demands. It offers essential options such as crimping, sealing, and a full range of Quality Tools, including the intuitive Komax HMI user interface. The machine twists two individual wires into a UTP cable, a common requirement in the automotive industry. Its modular design allows for easy upgrades with additional crimp and seal modules which allows customization to meet specific customer needs. The machine's intelligent, fully automatic wire position adjustment for open ends ensures highly efficient production with open end lengths ranging from 40 mm to 99 mm.
Komax Sigma - Model 688 LTT - Low Torsion Twisting Wire Processing Machine
Manufacture UTP cables with the new LTT (low torsion twisting) quality standard using proven Komax technology within the Sigma family. Data transfer rates below 100 Mbit/s will become just as important in the future as those at the upper end of the gigabit range. Today''s challenge of producing a UTP in a stable manner to ensure a transfer rate of 10 Mbit/s will probably become the norm in the future. To ensure the required quality of data transfer, a stable physical cable is necessary. As the mechanical properties are directly reflected in the electrical properties, reliable and stable production on demand is of utmost importance. A constant and continuous lay length, a compact and tight helix, as well as precise dimensional accuracy in the lengths of the individual wires result in a highly stable impedance and minimal delay time differences in the twisted cable. Processing techniques such as twisting with back-twisting make it possible to produce a UTP from two single wires on a twisting machine directly on site in the factory – a twisted cable for the demanding data transfer of tomorrow.
Komax Sigma - Model 688 - Fully Automatic Twisting Machine
The Sigma 688 offers reliable and fully automatic production of twisted wires at speeds of up to 5m/s with reliable OEM quality. With high quality and maximum flexibility in setting up the fully automatic machine, the Sigma 688 simultaneously twists two individual wires to UTP wires for applications with high data transmission, as required in the automotive industry. The modular machine structure can be upgraded with up to two crimp and seal modules each. The EtherCAT modules ensures optimal processes. The optional X2880 terminal pre-orientation module can be used on one or both sides for small cross sections up to 1.0 mm² and for very short, open ends. Quality assurance is also automatically ensured by integrable systems such as the Q1250i for optical stripping monitoring, CFA/CFA+ crimp force monitoring or other elements.
Komax BT - Model 188 T - Semi-Automatic Cable Processing Twister Machine
The bt 188 T semi-automatic cable processing machine twists up to four wires and the wire ends can also be automatically fixed with tape in an optional step. The bt 188 T offers excellent quality at high speeds of up to 350 pieces per hour in single twisting. The twisted end and lay length, wire cross section, wire outer diameter and open ends can be varied depending on requirements. The required cutting length is calculated automatically. The bt 188 T therefore offers economical twisting with short set-up and changeover times. The integrable multi-twisting unit processes three or four wires in a single process step and features uniform lay lengths and high reproducibility. The optional spot taping unit is only available for the bt 188 T. The twisted wires are protected against untwisting with spot tape made of fabric or PVC tape.
Komax BT - Model 288 - Semi-Automatic Cable Processing Twister Machine
Compared to the bt 188 T, the bt 288 semi-automatic machine also offers a second twisting line and thus increases the production output of the wire twisting. The Komax bt 288 is based on the proven technology of the bt 188 T, but offers a speed of up to 600 pieces per hour through a second twisting line while maintaining the same quality. The required footprint of the twisting unit remains the same. The semi-automatic machine automatically calculates the cutting length and offers the option of twisting three or four wires simultaneously using flat grippers. The intuitive TopTouch user interface simplifies the setting and saving of twisting parameters. The option of networking with MIKO also allows articles to be set up quickly and error-free. This ensures high transparency, reproducibility and fast training of operators.
